AI Internship Program - Automation & Agent Engineering

About the Program

Analytical Insider's AI Internship Program is a paid, 3-month immersion into production AI engineering. You will not be shadowing. You will not be fetching coffee. You will be shipping code that runs in production, building AI agent workflows that serve real customers, and learning how a category-defining startup operates from the inside.

This program is built for students and early-career engineers who want hands-on experience with the AI tools and frameworks that are reshaping software development: Anthropic's Claude SDK, Model Context Protocol (MCP), autonomous agent architectures, and modern full-stack development with Next.js and TypeScript.

You will work directly alongside the founding team, including a founder who codes daily and brings 16+ years of enterprise experience from Google, Amazon, Invesco, and State Street.

What You Will Work On

  • Build and extend AI agent pipelines using Anthropic Claude SDK and MCP (Model Context Protocol)
  • Develop custom MCP tools, skills, and knowledge bases that power our GEO platform
  • Write production TypeScript for our Next.js 15 application (API routes, server components, React UI)
  • Design and implement Prisma database schemas and migrations
  • Build internal automation workflows that replace manual processes with AI-driven pipelines
  • Integrate third-party APIs (Stripe, Apollo, Google APIs, DigitalOcean)
  • Write tests and participate in code review alongside the engineering team
  • Ship to production weekly. Your work will be live and serving customers

  • What You Will Learn

  • How to architect and deploy autonomous AI agent systems (not just prompting, real engineering)
  • Production MCP server development: building tools that AI agents call to interact with the world
  • Full-stack development in a modern stack: Next.js 15, TypeScript, Prisma, PostgreSQL
  • How an early-stage startup operates: product decisions, customer conversations, shipping fast
  • Cloud infrastructure: DigitalOcean App Platform, Spaces (S3-compatible), GitHub Actions CI/CD
  • Enterprise sales and GTM strategy (exposure, not responsibility)

  • Who Should Apply

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in CS, Software Engineering, or related field
  • Comfortable writing TypeScript or JavaScript (you do not need to be an expert)
  • Familiar with Git and basic command-line workflows
  • Genuinely curious about AI, LLMs, and how they are changing software
  • Self-directed. You can take a loosely defined problem and figure out where to start
  • Bonus: experience with React, Next.js, Python, or any AI/ML framework
  • Bonus: personal projects, open source contributions, or a portfolio that shows you build things
